THE SUMMER EXHIBITION 3rd JUly – 30TH AUGUST 2024

SUMMER EXHIBITION

A MIXED EXHIBITION OF ALL THE GALLERY ARTISTS AND INTRODUCING

SCULPTOR, SCOTT MCDONALD

3rd July – 30th August 2024

‘Helter Skelter’ by Kathy Little

The Summer Exhibition at the Gallery is set to be an extraordinary celebration of art, colour, and creativity, featuring a stunning array of works from some of our most talented artists. Among the highlights are the vibrant garden and flower paintings by Kathy Little, whose rich, lush compositions capture the essence of summer in full bloom. Little’s use of bold colours and dynamic brushstrokes brings a lively, almost tactile quality to her canvases, inviting viewers to step into her painted gardens.

Amy Albright’s layered water and sea scene pieces add a serene, evocative dimension to the exhibition. Her work, characterized by its delicate interplay of light and texture, captures the ever-changing moods of water, from tranquil, sunlit ripples to the deep, mysterious hues of the ocean. Albright’s paintings exude a sense of calm and contemplation, offering a perfect counterpoint to the vibrant energy of Little’s florals.

Adding a playful twist, Robert Hewer’s funky new portraits inject a sense of humor and personality into the show. Hewer’s bold, unconventional approach to portraiture, with its quirky details and vivid colors, challenges traditional notions of identity and expression, making each piece a conversation starter.

We are also excited to introduce sculptor Scott McDonald, whose innovative works bring a new dimension to the Gallery. McDonald’s sculptures, with their intricate forms and thoughtful use of materials, explore the relationship between space, form, and movement, offering a tactile and engaging experience for visitors.

This diverse collection, featuring the works of these outstanding artists and many more, promises to be a highlight of the summer, celebrating the vibrant and multifaceted world of contemporary art.
