Drypoint Printing –
£60.00 – £70.00
Tutor: Nicky Harwood
Date: 28th September
Time: 10.30am – 4.30pm
A fun and informative day learning the basic elements of Drypoint, an intaglio press based printmaking process. Drypoint uses scratching and layering to create an image which is then ‘inked up’ ready to print.
During the day you will make your own printing plates and Nicky will introduce you to some exciting techniques that will further develop your work.
We are very lucky to be using Nicky’s own Hawthorn Printing Press which will enable us to make professional prints of your work during the day.
You do not need to bring any materials with you, they are all included.
Recently graduated from Plymouth College of Art, Painting, Drawing and Printmaking BA, Nicky specialises in press free printmaking techniques. Her degree show consisted of work produced using the same process we will use in this workshop. Passionate about sharing printmaking and embracing the happy ‘accidents’ it affords, Nicky runs a number of workshops throughout the South West, was awarded a six month residency at The Clay Factory, Ivybridge and began her MA in Printmaking in October 2018.
If for reasons beyond our control the workshop is cancelled a full refund will be made.
