Driftwood Printing –
Tutor: Nicky Harwood
Date: 1st June
Time: 10.30am – 4.30pm
This exciting workshop will break away from traditional printmaking processes, embracing experimentation and exploration.
Having amounted a large collection of driftwood, these readymade printing plates will free you from the need to find a printable image, allowing the freedom to just print!
During the day we will experiment with various plates, inks/paints and supports. With no press required we can all work at our own pace resulting in all producing a range of exciting abstract prints.
All materials supplied and no experience necessary. Bring along any pieces of driftwood you might like to print from!
Recently graduated from Plymouth College of Art, Painting, Drawing and Printmaking BA, Nicky specialises in press free printmaking techniques. Her degree show consisted of work produced using the same process we will use in this workshop. Passionate about sharing printmaking and embracing the happy ‘accidents’ it affords, Nicky runs a number of workshops throughout the South West, was awarded a six month residency at The Clay Factory, Ivybridge and began her MA in Printmaking in October 2018.
If for reasons beyond our control the workshop is cancelled a full refund will be made.
