Where is Artwave West located?

Artwave West is a contemporary art gallery located in Morcombelake, on the Devon and Dorset border, not far from the market towns of Bridport and Axminster and only a short drive from the well-known seaside coastal town of Lyme Regis. You can easily find us situated directly on the edge of the A35 at Artwave West, Morcombelake, Dorset, DT6 6DY.

How do I get to the gallery on public transport?

There is a train station in the nearby town of Axminster that is situated on the line between Exeter and London Waterloo. Axminster, Lyme Regis, Bridport, and Dorchester are all linked to Morcombelake by bus. The bus stops directly outside the gallery.

What are your opening hours?

Our contemporary art gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday from 10.00am to 5.00pm. We can also open by appointment. Please contact us to arrange this.

Do you offer framing?

Although we do not frame artwork in house, we can arrange framing for you at very competitive prices. If you prefer to organise framing of your contemporary art purchase yourself, we can also recommend several local framers.

How can I purchase a piece of artwork?

You can purchase a piece of artwork by one of our gallery artists either in person at the gallery, over the phone, or via our online art shop.

Do you offer delivery?

We offer free delivery as standard within the UK when you buy a piece of contemporary art from us. For more information, read our delivery policy.

Do you ship internationally?

How do I find the art that I like?

Choosing a piece of contemporary artwork for your home or place of business is highly personal, however, you can tap into our decades of experience in selecting the perfect piece of art that you will enjoy for many years to come. Whether you’d prefer to come into the gallery in Dorset or have us bring a selection of artwork to your home, we are happy to offer our professional expertise and advice with our free art consultancy service.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards. Payment can be made in person, over the phone or securely via the website. Payment can also be arranged by Bank Transfer. We also offer a flexible payment plan option to help spread the cost of your purchase into manageable monthly payments. This very adaptable option keeps you in control as payments can be tailored to your individual needs. No credit check required. Please contact us for further information.

What is your return policy?

If you wish to return your artwork purchased online, you have 14 days to notify us after receiving your item, following which you will have a further 14 days in which to return the item. For more information, read our returns policy.

For purchases made in person, you have 7 days to return your artwork to the gallery.

How often do exhibitions change?

Our contemporary art exhibitions last, on average, four weeks. However, we always hold our gallery artists’ work in stock and have an extensive collection on site ready to show you. Just ask when you visit to view other artworks or browse our online shop.

How can I keep up to date with new exhibitions and events?

Do you have parking?

We have ample free parking at our art gallery.

Is the gallery fully accessible?

Our art gallery is fully accessible to wheelchairs.

Which artists do you exhibit?

We currently exhibit a range of British and international award-winning contemporary artists. Our gallery artists currently include Martin Goold, Donna Goold, Paul Denham, Kathy Little, Helen Slater, Suchi Chidambaram, Jeannette Hayes, Heather Duncan, Edward Kelly, Elfyn Lewis, Robert Hewer, Sophie Capron, Rebecca Fontaine-Wolf, Amy Albright, as well as ceramicist Victoria Meadows and sculptor Louise Plant.

Can I view artwork in person before purchasing?

Absolutely! You can view our range of artworks in the gallery, or we can arrange for a free no obligation home art consultation within 50 miles of the art gallery at a time to suit you.

Can we bring our dog in?

Yes! We love meeting your four-legged friends and always have treats and water available at the gallery.
